Review & Appeals

Review & Appeals

Specialist appellate advocacy for AAT reviews and Federal Court challenges to secure your Australian visa status.

A second chance for your visa. We provide aggressive legal representation for AAT reviews and Federal Court appeals to overturn unfavorable decisions and protect your future in Australia. If your visa has been refused or cancelled, our specialists provide a forensic analysis of the decision records to identify jurisdictional errors and merits for review. We excel at crafting rigorous legal arguments and preparing you for tribunal hearings, ensuring that every possible avenue for a successful appeal is explored.

Review & Appeals Overview

If your visa has been refused or cancelled, all is not lost. The Australian legal system provides avenues for review, primarily through the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and, in cases of legal error, the Federal Courts. These reviews are highly technical and time-sensitive. Our specialists excel at identifying 'merit' in refused applications and crafting rigorous legal arguments to overturn unfavorable decisions.

Strict time limits apply, often as short as 21 days or even 7 days for certain matters. You must act immediately upon receiving a refusal notice.

It is an independent review where the Tribunal member looks at your case 'from scratch' and can make a new decision based on all available evidence.

Unlike the AAT, a court review looks only at whether the original decision-maker made a 'legal error,' not whether they made the 'right' decision on the facts.

Usually, yes. In most cases, you will be granted a Bridging Visa that allows you to remain in Australia until your appeal is finalized.
